THIS WEEKEND (19 AUGUST)

19.08.2006

New Zealand 34, Australia 27 in Auckland (Beldisloe Cup & Tri Nations)

New Zealand won by 7 points. I predicted NZ by 5.

New Zealand came back from a half time 11-20 deficit to outplay the Wallabies, take the win, the Tri Nations and the Bledisloe Cup. Now the New Zealanders are eyeing the 2007 Rugby World Cup.

Tanzania 71, Rwanda 8 in Arusha (CAR Castle Cup, Div.2, South, Group A)

Tanzania won by 63 points. I predicted Tanzania by 70.

Tanzania easily took out the tournament honours against Rwanda and now face Reunion in a playoff for a place in the Division 2 final.
